The Consortium for Graduate Studies in Gender, Culture, Women, and Sexuality

The Consortium for Graduate Studies in Gender, Culture, Women, and Sexuality advances intersectional feminist scholarship and teaching.

Hosted by MIT, the Consortium for Graduate Studies in Gender, Culture, Women, and Sexuality is a pioneering multi-institutional home for interdisciplinary feminist inquiry. Through graduate courses, micro-seminars, and professional development, we connect faculty and students to bridge the gap between theory, pedagogy, and practice.

The Summer Feminist Learning Institute (SFLI) marks a bold expansion of GCWS’s mission, opening our micro-courses to the public for the first time. We invite students, professionals, and activists to step beyond the academy and engage directly with world-class scholars at the forefront of feminist inquiry. Through research-driven and highly interactive online courses, you will gain the tools to translate cutting-edge intersectional theory into meaningful social praxis. Join a diverse cohort dedicated to bridging the gap between academic research and real-world impact.

Join us online from June 15–30, 2026, for an immersive learning experience. Our courses feature live sessions and intentionally small class sizes to ensure deep connection and high-level dialogue. Secure your spot when registration opens on May 1!
