Ng'endo Mukii is a writer, director and animation professor based in Boston. She's best known for Enkai, her Annie Award-winning episode of the Disney+ anthology series Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, and for her Royal College of Art graduate film, Yellow Fever—the critically acclaimed animated documentary exploring Western influences on African women's beauty. Her work focuses on relationships, the separation between perception and reality, and the use of moving images to represent unspoken truths. Themes of identity also play a vital role in her creative process and inspiration.
Ng'endo Mukii will present a collection of short, animated films spanning a decade of work. She will surface the themes and process of her work, contextualizing them in her heritage as a Kenyan, and her experience as part of the Afro diaspora.
The screening will take place on March 26, 2026 at 4:30pm.
Following the film will be a Q&A discussion writer and director, Ng'endo Mukii.
